Top 10 (and more, cuz this list can go on FOREVER) Things To Do When Bored and Quarantined

Dear Reader,

There is quite a bit to do when you are stuck at home. But here's a list of ten things that I like to do to pass the time. Enjoy! (And feel free to use one of these to get rid of any boredom you have). :)

1. Read a book!

If you haven't already, check out my Top 10 Books I've Read In The Past 2 Months post. There you'll find a list of novels you can explore and read. Reading is an amazing hobby to get addicted to. And I mean reading a REAL book, one that you can smell, hold in your hands, physically turn each and every page, that kind of book -- a paperback (or hardcover, whichever you prefer). :)

Reading can expand your vocabulary, provide the brain with a stimulus that helps increase memory, and boost brain power, in general. Dr. Seuss once wrote, "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." I do not think that when he spoke of places, he meant actually places. I feel that he meant places inside stories, like Cinderella's pumpkin, or Bella's truck, reading can transport you into a completely different universe. That's one of the main reasons I enjoy it; I get to escape from stress, from worry, and just read.

Reading also can help you relax, which is why most people would tell you that you should read before bed. It signals to your brain that it's time to calm down and sleep.

2. Watch a movie. Or two. Or three. Heck, binge your favorite TV show. Cuz, why not? :)

Again, feel free to check out my Top 10 TV Shows To Binge During Quarantine. There's a list of TV shows that you can explore! :)

And those super long movies you've been avoiding watching, take a day to watch 'em!

3. Write. In a journal, on a sticky note, an online blog (ah ha ha).

4. Complete a puzzle. 1000 piece puzzle, wordsearch puzzle, crossword puzzle, hell, even go for a Rubik's Cube! Have fun and good luck!

5. Learn to play an instrument. Let's just hope the neighbors don't complain if you decide to choose drums. -wheeze-

6. Pamper yourself. Face masks, moisturizer, freshly painted nails, a very very very long nap, treat yourself to something relaxing!

7. Look at pictures of puppies. Or kittens. Or any baby animal, because they are all very cute. (My favorite one is the piglets).

8. Take Rapunzel's hobbies and turn them into your own: ventriloquy, candle-making, adding a new painting to her gallery, the list is (kind of) endless. :)

9. Write letters to friends, family, and your significant other. Then mail them! :)

10. Go through your closet. You might find something in there you forgot you even had.

BONUS:

11. Bake those goods. ;)

12. Color. Who says coloring books are for kids? Hmm?

13. Find something on Pinterest and try (and probably fail (try again)) to recreate it.

14. Learn how to braid hair. Or learn new hair-dos and try 'em out.

15. Go through your camera roll and get rid of old photos.
